Vandalism at the campsite in Upper Austria is investigated

The sanitary facilities at a permanent campsite were vandalised several times and could only be accessed using a key that each campsite user had. After initial questioning on site and spot checks failed to turn up any suspects or clues and the issue of permanent surveillance of sanitary facilities is rather sensitive and not wanted by the operators, the management of the campsite contacted a well-known ICU employee.

To get to the bottom of the matter, an ICU CLOM Cam 4+ was temporarily installed near the entrance to the sanitary facilities.

And two days later, the troublemakers promptly fell into the trap: it was two young people from the camping community who were responsible for the vandalism. The teenagers were confronted in the presence of their parents. Fortunately, they were sympathetic and the matter was resolved without involving the police or pressing charges.

This is just one of many cases that show that our high-quality ICU CLOM camera systems are not only suitable for monitoring hunting grounds or detecting wild animals, but can also provide clarity and help clarify any situation.

Several ICU CLOM cameras are now in constant use on the campsite and provide the campsite operator and caretaker with clarity about any incidents that would otherwise only become clear after the event due to the size of the area. Following the vandalism of the sanitary facilities, a case of littering in a parking area and several attempted break-ins into caravans during the winter break have now also been solved.
